Storm 2008
After a lot of fine weather beforehand,
midsummer 2008 brought with it some very unusual weather for the
time of year, with severe gales causing disruption across the
peninsula, and so we took a look around some of the peninsula's
most noted coastal spots to see what it was like!

April Snow 2008
Quite unusual April scenes from across
the Llŷn Peninsula, from Trefor to Mynytho, these wintry scenes
were the result of heavy wintry showers overnight and during the
morning. Gwynedd was one of the worst hit areas in Wales for
this batch of wintry weather, as some were just starting their
fortnight Easter Holidays!

HRH Princess Anne visits Pwllheli
On Thursday 3rd April 2008 the Princess Royal visited Pwllheli
as president of the Royal Yachting Association to see the cream
of Britain's young sailing talent taking part in the National
Championships and Trials - possibly taking them as far as the
Olympics in the future.

Peak Week 2007 During
late August I travelled the length of the peninsula taking in
five of our hills in five days, from Mynydd Anelog to Llŷn's
highest peak of Yr Eifl. As you will see, the weather was mostly
good for the walks with an amazing finish on Friday afternoon!

Llyn.info Pub of 2007
The Tŷ Coch in idyllic Porthdinllaen won last year's poll to find
which pub was the favourite amongst Llyn.info Visitors. Y
Bryncynan near Morfa Nefyn came second, but will this result be
repeated in 2008? Look out
for this year's poll during the spring. |
