Surfing on Llyn

Surfing is a very popular sport on Llyn and some of our south and west facing beaches provide ideal conditions to surf.

Some of the best beaches for surfing include Porth Ceiriad, Porth Neigwl (Hell's Mouth) and Porth Oer (Whistling Sands), but other beaches may also provide some decent waves when the conditions are right.

The best place to get started is in Abersoch, in the village centre there are loads of surf and other water sports shops. You can even go on a course to help you build up your skills.
