The Borderlands

"Where an area of beauty meets a National Park"

This area of Llyn is where the lower lands of the peninsula rise up to the highlands of Snowdonia. The Afon Dwyfor flows down from the mountains of Snowdonia into the sea just south of Llanystumdwy, childhood home and burial place of David Lloyd George, former Prime Minister.

This region of Llyn is very undeveloped and there is little for the family to see and do here, however, there is miles of rolling countryside, to the south of the hills of the north coast, which is ideal for walkers.

St Cybi's Well, near Llangybi is on of the best known wells on Llyn - many people came to the well in the past because they thought the waters within it had healing powers. More info...

The Glasfryn Park is the only major tourist attraction in this region. Click here to visit their website.
