There is very little once you venture away from Pwllheli unless you like walking or bike riding, but here is a mini guide to places you will find near by. Efailnewydd This small community lies two miles out of Pwllheli on the A497 to Nefyn. The Pwllheli Rugby Club is based on the outskirts of the village, as is Hendre Caravan Park. The centre of the village is around the junction of the A497 and the B4415 to Aberdaron. There is a small general stores in the village and playing fields and a park on the opposite side of the road.
Abererch is a small village that is set just to the north of the A497 two miles out of Pwllheli towards Criccieth. To the south of the A497 is the Abererch Sands Caravan Park and the popular beach. The railway runs along the back of the beach with a holt near the minor road that leads to the beach. Penrhos Penrhos is situated about 2 miles west of Pwllheli, along the A499 to Llanbedrog and Abersoch. Around the village there is a golf driving range, the Pen-y-berth Caravan Park and a small Polish based community. There are also a couple of chapels and a furniture shop. |
