Totals Raised for Charity - 12/9/08
Cheques have now been presented to two
charities who have benefited from fundraising over the summer by
a few dedicated club members. £7000 in total was raised for the
Chernobyl Children's Lifeline and £3500 was raised for the
Pwllheli Branch of the RNLI.
Thank you to all members who donated
items for the raffles and tombola and a special thank you to
those that put in a lot of time to raise such fantastic amounts
of money. Thousands Raised for Charity
- 26/8/08 A huge well done
to several members of the club, who in partnership with Abererch
Sands Holiday Centre, have been working hard over the last few
months to raise thousands of pounds for charity. £3,500 was
donated to the RNLI (Pwllheli Branch) on Saturday night in the
clubhouse on the harbour side, whilst over £5,000 has also been
raised for the Chernobyl Children's Lifeline Link (Caernarfon
Branch), which helps to fund trips to the area for children from
Belarus who were affected by the nuclear disaster in Chernobyl
in 1986. Through the selling
of raffle tickets, a charity evening in the club and a sponsored
swim, such a fantastic amount of money has been raised. The
children from Chernobyl which this money has helped bring across
to Wales will draw the second raffle on Saturday 6th September
in the club. For photos,

A huge thank you to Paul Kennish off Abererch Sands who gave up
his Easter Sunday to pressure wash the entire frontage at the
club, see the photo below for the difference it has made. Also
thanks to Ian Pogson who has fixed the men's toilets. The
railings across the front of the club are also now painted to
improve the external image of the club. Thanks to everyone who
