The most striking feature of the
Ll?n countryside is the numerous stonewalls and hedgerows that
surround the fields and country lanes. Farming practice here,
whilst enhanced by modern machinery, has had little impact on
the topography of the area. Sheep farming is still the main
agricultural pursuit and modern methods have had minimal adverse
impact on wildlife. The hundreds of miles of country lanes are
much as they were generations ago. The agricultural interior is
bordered on three sides by windswept cliffs, moor land, or
coastal sand dunes.
