Morfa Bychan backs one of the most famous beaches
in Wales, Black Rock Sands. At the mouth of the Glaslyn Estuary, the
massive expanse of sand at low tide has resulted in a beach big
enough for cars to drive onto and this is one of the best things
about it, especially if you've got a car full or gear to take to the
beach, you don't have to carry it!
The village itself is the majority modern housing
with lots of holiday homes and caravan parks around it's edges.
There is a convenience store and chip shop in the village, with
other facilities available just up the road in Porthmadog.
Morfa Bychan is also home to Porthmadog Golf
Course.
