Llangybi is perhaps most noted for it's historic
well. Ffynnon Cybi (St. Cybi's Well) is just a short walk from the
village in a small valley.
An insight into this historical importance of the
well can be seen by using the external like below. Above the well on
a small hill is a hillfort.
Llangybi and it's surrounding communities
including Pencaenewydd and Llanarmon are located in quiet
countryside which sits between the A487 Caernarfon-Porthmadog road
to the east and the A499 Pwllheli-Caernarfon road to the west. This
area is relatively untouched and there are some excellent walks
nearby, including those around the well and hillfort at Llangybi and
also along Lon Eifion which is a disused railway line now used as a
cycle/footpath, path of Lôn Las Cymru, a national cycle path which
joins Holyhead and Cardiff.
