Y Ffôr, or Fourcrosses as it is also known, is situated a few miles out of Pwllheli on the A499 Caernarfon Road as it makes it's way across the peninsula from Pwllheli on the south coast to Trefor on the north coast below Yr Eifl. The village centres around the crossroads with the B4354 Nefyn - Criccieth road.

The village is home to South Caernarfon Creameries and is where the milk in sale in many local shops comes from. Other dairy products created in the factory include Caws Llŷn (lit. Llŷn Cheese), which is well worth a try!
