Hidden Treasure Walk
As the unofficial capital of Llŷn, Pwllheli is
the area's traditional market town, and offers
all the shops and services you need on a day to
day basis. Wednesday is market day in Pwllheli
and the bustling town plays host to one of the
largest open air markets in the country, where
there is always a bargain to be had.
Hafan Pwllheli is the town's top class marina,
one of the finest in Western Britain, with the
calm waters of Tremadog Bay providing ideal
conditions for all kinds of boating and water
sports enthusiasts.
Pwllheli has two beaches, Glan-y-Don to the east
and South Beach to the west, both of which
provide safe bathing. The town also has a
leisure centre with swimming pool and also a
golf course, the clubhouse for which is closer
to the sea than on any other course in the UK.
Pen-y-Garn behind the town, at only 71m provides
excellent views across the town and well beyond
over Cardigan Bay.
