Nestled between the hills of northern Ll?n and
the coast is the small town of Nefyn. The town
backs it's own bay, with the small fishing
hamlet of Porth Nefyn at it's western end
(resembling it's neighbour, Porth Dinllaen).
The town itself has a few shops and cafes as
well as a bank and a large hotel. Behind the
town, Mynydd Nefyn is a small hilltop community
overlooking the town to the north, towards
Pwllheli and Llanbedrog to the south, and even
to the Wicklow Mountains in Ireland on a clear
day to the west.
Nefyn is centred around the crossroads between
roads to Aberdaron, Pwllheli, Mynydd Nefyn and
Llithfaen/Caernarfon. Pwllheli is approximately
7 miles away along the A497 which terminates in
the centre of Nefyn.
