Caerwylan
The Caerwylan is a friendly, privately owned 3 star hotel,
situated in a unique location on the East shore of Criccieth's
Esplanade. The hotel is a landmark Victorian building which
faces south with stunning views over the main beach, Cardigan
Bay and towards the ruins of Criccieth Castle. The hotel
probably enjoys some of the best seaside views in North Wales.
We bought the hotel at the end of 2007 and since then we have
rebuilt all of the Bedrooms to a high standard. The Caerwylan
now has 24 comfortable, contemporary, en-suite bedrooms. Each
bedroom has been individually designed and many of the bedrooms
have lovely sea views.
Executive, Superior, Standard Plus, Standard and Single bedrooms
are available, all with views of either the sea, mountains,
castle or town. There is one family bedroom (Room 21). Apart
from Room 21, please note it is not our policy to have 2 adults
and a baby/child in any of our double bedrooms. One adult and a
baby/child in a double room is fine. From the lift to Room 21,
there are approximately 11 stairs.
During the winter of 2010/11 we rebuilt most of the ground floor
of the hotel including a new relaxing sea facing lounge, a
contemporary bar with cask beer and new toilets, including a
disabled toilet.
Our restaurant is open to residents and non residents for dinner
seven days a week from 6pm to 9pm. The Head Chef uses good,
local suppliers as much as possible and the varied menu changes
daily. We are also open for Sunday Lunch from noon until 2 pm.
Morning coffee and afternoon tea is served in the new sea facing
lounge and during the summer months in our garden.
For bookings please telephone us or use the real time on-line
facility - the link is at the bottom of the homepage at
