Caerwylan Hotel, Criccieth

The Caerwylan is an ideal base to explore Criccieth, the beautiful beaches of the Lleyn Peninsula, Snowdonia and the many famous steam railways, castles and golf courses of North Wales.

With a southern aspect Criccieth’s two beaches are a mixture of sand and pebble with outcrops exposing rock pools at low tide. The bay is visited regularly by porpoises and swimmers bathe throughout the year in the mild waters. A gentle stroll takes you to all the town amenities.

The Caerwylan is a friendly, privately owned 3 star hotel, situated in a unique location on the East shore of Criccieth's Esplanade. The hotel is a landmark Victorian building which faces south, commanding stunning views over the main beach, Cardigan Bay and towards the ruins of Criccieth Castle. The hotel probably enjoys some of the best seaside views in North Wales.

Since 2007 we have renovated the hotel to a high standard, We now have 24 individually designed en-suite bedrooms - choose from Executive, Superior, Standard Plus or Standard bedrooms, all with views of either the sea, mountains, castle or town.

We have created a new tranquil, sea facing Lounge, serving morning coffee, light lunches and afternoon teas, (during the summer months you can also enjoy your lunch in our south facing garden). A contemporary Bar stocks a wide range of spirits, wines, lagers with keg and locally brewed beers.

New for 2012 is an elegant, garden view Restaurant open to residents and non residents for dinner seven days a week from 6pm. The Head Chef uses good, local suppliers as much as possible and offers different dining options.   We are also open for Sunday Lunch from noon until 2 pm every Sunday. Reservations are recommended for dinner and Sunday Lunch on 01766 522547.

Other Facilities Include:
· Lift to all floors (from lift to bedrooms 5 or 6 stairs but
for a few rooms it is more)
· Private Garages @ £1.50 per night
· Wi-Fi available in Public Areas
· Direct Dial Telephones in all bedrooms
· Hairdryer in all bedrooms
· Flat screen digital televisions, which incorporate radios,
in all bedrooms
· Drying room

Having completed all of our building works, The Caerwylan will now be open for 11 months of the year. Treat yourself to a relaxing sea side holiday or why not make Christmas 2012 special and join us for a quiet and relaxing Christmas break by the sea?
